Annabel Pettigrew (she/her) is an artist and lecturer whose practice is research and pilgrimage based.

Her practice transformed following a period of Deep Grief that totally realigned and reframed her practice ethos. Using techniques that access the unconscious mind to create a visual language unique to the processing of lived experience relating to Grief, her work manifests in astral realms and psychic landscapes.

Her approach to pedagogy in Fine Art is to facilitate holding a space for individuals who explore the processing of lived experiences, providing conversations where these subjects can be discussed relating to and informing the development of practice.

Annabel initiated and curates ‘Throes of Grief’, an artist collective which seeks to explore grief and grief related themes in contemporary art practice.
